Jubilee Hotel
The Jubilee Hotel opened in Waerenga Road in 1890. It expanded in 1897 and was described as the 'leading hostelry in the district'. It had 15 bedrooms, six sitting rooms, a commercial-room and a dining room for 30 guests. A clubhouse was also built next door and was used by the Otaki Club with the Masonic Hall upstairs. The Otaki Maori Racing Club held its annual meeting at the hotel.
