Description:
Pianola (also known as a player piano) and music rolls, originally from Bright's Theatre, Otaki.

Byron Brown bought it from the theatre when 'talkies' (talking movies) became available, and music was no longer needed. It was later bought by the Banks family.

The first regular talkies were shown at the theatre (then called the 'Cosy') on 27 February 1931.
